Question: How do I know this is for me?
Answer:
Judaism1on1.com is for the thinking, spiritually seeking individual looking for something more in life. We want to assist you in find more happiness and value in living. Just open your mind, heart and soul – with a dose of effort.
Question: How do you define spirituality?
Answer:
Spirituality is the relationship of the human being to his/her human spirit. The human spirit is an expression of the soul, which connects to thoughts and emotions enabling man to make choice that transcend the animalistic body needs and instinctual desires.
Question: It this for someone who is not an “Orthodox Jew”?
Answer:
Yes. Although an “Orthodox Jew” (and we also hate labels and pigeonholing), will also find benefit in our services, our primary concern is for those interested in the spirituality of Judaism as a “light unto the nations.”
Question: Why was Judaism1on1.com established?
Answer:
To enable access to the rich wisdom and traditional values of Judaism in an accessible and comfortable way. With Judaism1on1.com, you can easily explore for yourself to “taste and see that God is good (Psalms, Chapter 34).”
Question: Do I need a personal rabbi, teacher or spiritual mentor?
Answer:
Our rabbis teach us to “make for yourself a personal teacher and remove yourself from doubt (Pirkei Avot 1:16).” Even if one is very learned and spiritually developed, he or she should still make for him/herself a teacher for guidance and advancement.
Question: How does your service work?
Answer:
You can schedule your personal 1on1 session by going to “Scheduling” on our website, where you can choose to either meet with one of our teachers in person, if you live in that location, or you can conveniently meet online using a web camera and voice conferencing.
Question: How do I pay for my appointment?
Answer:
Using our online payment service, you can easily pay for your appointment upon scheduling.
Question: How much do I need to pay for my personal rabbi, teacher or spiritual mentor?
Answer:
The cost of our 1on1 hour-long sessions are between $40 and $100, based on a sliding scale depending on age, income and desire. Basically, 50% of the cost per session or the cost above $25 is rendered tax-deductible as we are a non-profit 501c3 organization. One may choose a monthly payment plan which can be entirely tax-deductible. If someone prefers a free mentor, we will arrange this as well.
Question: How does Judaism1on1.com differ from the other Judaic websites or services available to the public?
Answer:
Although we provide free inspirational materials, and free mentors as well, we differ from other Jewish sites in that we offer our students their own personal rabbi, teacher and/or spiritual counselor.
Question: Is my personal information and questions kept confidential?
Answer:
Absolutely! To share your private matters with anyone else would be against Jewish law and contrary to our mission.

Answer:
As stated on our front page, our mission is to enable you to: expand intellectually and spiritually, increase your happiness and pleasure, benefit yourself and others, and live more meaningfully.
